During the cooking course, you will stay in a charming villa, lovingly restored to retain some unique original features, including the floors and beams. It is perched on top of a hill and has breathtaking panoramic views of gently rolling hills, covered in vineyards and olive groves. The view from the pool and garden is towards the captivating medieval city of San Gimignano.

The accommodation

All the rooms in the villa have views and retain interesting original features. They have high ceilings and are full of light. All have private bathrooms with showers. The villa has belonged to the same family for several generations and was the manor house for a farming estate. The cooking courses will take place on-site, in a well-equipped ground-floor kitchen. We generally eat just outside on the terrace, with gorgeous views of the garden and across the neighboring valleys.

Sit and relax in the pretty garden under the shady pergola. Or lie by the pool with its stunning views. You are free to use the kitchen any time you might possibly want to prepare a light snack or meal or to make yourself tea or coffee. Please note that this is self-catering accommodation (similar to a holiday rental) so there is no daily maid service for your rooms, although there will always be people on hand should you need something.

A cooking course for everyone

The weekly cooking course price includes accommodation based on two people sharing a double room with a private bathroom. Some beds can be made up as twins, while the others are queen-size beds. We have space for two solo travelers to join us each week.

The villa is quiet, comfortable and airy and is in a perfect location to explore the area. There is free Wi-Fi internet access so you can keep in touch with family and friends.

There are beautiful walks to be taken near the villa, where you can observe and photograph some unique Tuscan flora and fauna. Twenty minutes’ drive will take you to some of the most beautiful and unspoiled medieval villages in the area. Walking through the shady streets of Certaldo or Barberino Val d’Elsa, you can imagine what life must have been like in rural Tuscany hundreds of years ago.

Organic Tuscany is not to be missed. Shilpa, Ricardo, and their entire team are consummate professionals, seasoned hosts, and they provide a schedule that blends local sights and artisans with exquisite cooking experiences. My advice--register for Organic Tuscany immediately. You will never regret it.

one of the best vacations I will ever have taken. The 2 hosts were wonderful people and made everyone at home. We had a group of 10, learned a lot of cooking and about wine. They also gave us advice on where to have lunch, what to see in Florence, and Siena. Totally wonderful

Fabulous experience We waited 2 1/2 years for this trip and we weren’t disappointed! Our hosts were great. The villa and pool were fabulous and the food so delicious! It’s the perfect split between cooking, sight seeing, relaxing and just being totally spoilt! Would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting to explore Tuscany and experience the amazing food and wine from the area. Can’t wait to go again!

This was our 2020 trip that we moved to 2022! It was so worth the wait! Shilpa and Riccardo are wonderful hosts and every minute was amazing. The villa was beautiful with amazing views. The cooking together with new friends was so fun and delicious. The planned side trips allowed us to see more of Tuscany. This was a dream trip that we want to repeat! We just need more time. 2 weeks in Italy was not enough!

This trip was fantastic - Shilpa and Riccardo run a wonderful course with delicious recipes and great trips to local attractions as well. The instructors and local producers we visited were all lovely and took plenty of time to share their experience and products with us. Really enjoyed the whole trip. The villa was beautiful and very comfortable.
