The villa

During the cooking course you will stay in a charming, lovingly restored villa which is surrounded by hills covered in woods, vineyards and olive groves. The view from the pool and garden is of the beautiful castle of Santa Maria Novella, nestling just across the gently sloping valley.

The accommodation

All the rooms in the carefully restored villa are charming and are decorated in clean, simple lines and soft colours. They are high-ceilinged and all have private bathrooms. This villa was one of those that until the mid 20th century belonged to a local noble family and was where farming families would live to work the surrounding fields. The cooking courses will take place on site, in a well-equipped ground floor kitchen. We generally eat just outside on the terrace, with gorgeous views of the garden and across the neighboring valleys.

There is a cosy indoor sitting room for you to relax in, as well as lovely spaces outdoors. Find a shady corner to read in the pretty garden, or enjoy the pool with its suggestive views. You are free to use the kitchen any time you might possibly want to prepare a light snack or meal or to make yourself tea or coffee. Please note that this is self-catering accommodation (similar to a holiday rental) so there is no daily maid service for your rooms, although there will always be people on hand should you need something.

A cooking course for everyone

The weekly cooking course price includes accommodation based on two people sharing a double room with a private bathroom. Some beds can be made up as twins, while the others are queen-size beds. We have space for two solo travelers. These carry a 300 Euro supplement.

The villa is very quiet, comfortable and airy. It has a cosy living room with comfy sofas and a private pool and garden for you to relax in. There is free WIFI internet access.

There are beautiful walks to be taken near the villa, where you can observe and photograph some unique Tuscan flora and fauna. Twenty minutes’ drive will take you to some of the most beautiful and unspoiled medieval villages in the area. Walking through the shady streets of Certaldo or Barberino Val d’Elsa, you can imagine what life must have been like in rural Tuscany hundreds of years ago.

5 star ratingExperience of a Lifetime My wife and I attended the Organic Tuscany one week cooking class in May 2019. From the very first contact I had with Shilpa and Ricardo I knew we were going to love this cooking class. It's not easy making a monetary commitment like this from half way around the world but their patience and warmth were evident right from the start and made the decision easier. What made this our most memorable experience of our whole trip to Italy?

5 star ratingTime of my life I didn't really know what to expect when my sister and I signed up for this week-long cooking adventure. Little did I know that not only would I leave with new found knowledge of cooking, recipes and techniques, but that I would gain a whole new family of friends.

We were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived and left feeling like we were leaving our new family. Shilpa and Riccardo are marvelous hosts and constantly ensure that...

5 star ratingI highly recommend this cooking tour My friend and I wanted to do a cooking class for 10 years. We were so lucky to find Organic Tuscany with Shilpa and Riccardo. Everything about the week was spectacular. The accommodations were top notch , the cooking classes were kept to small groups with lots of hands-on instruction. In between the cooking classes they set up wonderful tours visiting neighboring towns like Florence and Sienna. I highly recommend this cooking tour to anyone who wants fantastic value for money.

Organic Tuscany is the perfect Tuscan experience! Not only do you get to eat and make some amazing food, but you also get to truly experience Tuscany. Visit local towns, learn about the amazing history of the area, and meet some truly remarkable and fascinating people along the way! This is absolutely the "organic" way to explore Tuscany.
